The Location

      Kodagu, also known as Coorg, is a place renowned for its sylvan surroundings and salubrious climate. Kodagu is famous for growing best qualities of coffee, pepper, cardamom and other spices. 30% of India’s coffee is produced in Kodagu. The well maintained coffee plantations and the evergreen tree cover have contributed to the beauty of this place. The fresh air and the clean environment have made Kodagu a favourite destination for eco-tourism. The famous Nagarhole National Park is located in Kodagu, which has one of the best diversity of flora and fauna.

      Gonicoppal town, located in the southern parts of Kodagu, is about 230 kms from Bangalore, and 90 Kms from Mysore. Mangalore is 180 Kms away. The distance from Gonicoppal to Kannur in Kerala is 80 Kms, and Thalassery is 75 Kms away. Likewise, Manathvady is 60 Kms away, and the distance to Kozikode is 120 Kms.

      The nearest railway stations are Mysore/Mangalore in Karnataka and Thalassery / Kannur in Kerala. Gonicoppal is well connected by road.
